A fire door register is how you evidence, in one place, that you know every fire door you are responsible for and that each one is being inspected and maintained. Article 17 of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires fire doors to be subject to "a suitable system of maintenance" — a register is the backbone of that system. This free Excel template gives you a structured register and inspection log you can use across every building in your portfolio.
